Update on Illness and Where the Book Releases Stand

I’m feeling better these days. I no longer have to dress the wound, I have more energy back, and it doesn’t kill me to sit at the laptop and get work done. But since Asides and Champion of the Dead got delayed anyway, I’m doing one last quick round of line edits on Champion. Just minor tweaks here and there to improve the quality of the prose, as well as fix any last minute typos that slipped through every other round of editing.

As for Asides, it’s all but ready. I have a few things to do behind the scenes before it will be ready to go live, but the book is done. I am looking for ARC readers right now, so if you’re interested in checking it out you can email me at jpagaduanauthor@gmail.com and let me know.

It does deal with some heavy themes, and this time around I’m including a list of content notes at the beginning so you can check those out in case you need to nope out. And trust me, I understand.

With all this being said, I’m still not 100%. I’m still going through a rather ugly divorce, I’m still trying to get the remaining loose ends of my health together so I can hold down some kind of regular job, and I’m still trying to finish my degree. As a result, there are still fewer spoons and a lot of them are pretty much promised to other aspects of my life.

To those who have survived the journey to get here, thank you. For those just joining us, it’s bumpy but not as bad as it has been. Even with everything going in my life I’m still making progress on my art, which is really what matters to me. Slow progress is still progress, after all.

Hopefully the new update will feature some more definitive release news, but if you’re interested in being an ARC reader I am happy to work with you. I’ll even pass along a free copy of Savior of the Damned to get you caught up. Because I think you’re going to love it.
