Savior of the Damned is done. The ARC is mostly ready now too, I’m just waiting on the cover. And let me tell you folks it has been an absolute rush of feelings. It’s not quite done yet, of course. I still have to format the actual book, and I have to send out the ARC copies once the cover is in, and then after that I can put it up for preorder, which is just the most exciting thing ever.
I will, of course, show you the cover before anything elsebut if you’re interested in an ARC copy I’m going to include the Google signup form.. If you don’t know what an ARC is, it stands for Advance Review Copy. What you do (ideally) is read the book and leave an honest review on Goodreads or Amazon. Did it work for you? Did it not? Tell the world your thoughts!
So if I’m getting ready for ARC readers, does this mean the book is releasing soon? Yes. I’m expecting the ebook to go live on October 31st, 2023. I honestly was not expecting my timeline to be moved up so much, but it’s exciting it did. It’s almost six months ahead of schedule in fact. I found myself with a lot more extra time on my hands, and decided to see if I could get it out sooner. The elation I can make a Halloween release work is overwhelming, to say the least.
It has been quite the journey to get here. It took more than twenty years to go from just starting out to my first released novel, with mountains of books in between. Novellas that will never see the light of day again. Novels that need so much work it would be easier to rewrite them. Short story collections, essays, poetry, the works. I have hundreds of documents of notes and ideas and stories and poems, but this was the novel to see the light of day first.
I am incredibly proud of myself. And I’m also incredibly grateful to be able to share this moment with all of you. It has been a bumpy ride, for sure. The last 10 years have been harrowing as my life spiraled out of control, but I persevered. Writing was ultimately the coping skill I turned to the most. Writing carried me through the rollercoaster the last decade has been. And it’s because of writing I get to present my first novel. Savior of the Damned, to you.
It has been a journey, folks. And I’m excited because the journey doesn’t end with this book. Not only is Savior of the Damned the first book in the Guardians of Gaia series, it’s the first book of many other projects, too many to write in one lifetime. But I’m going to do my best.
Thank you all for following me over the course of this. Not much else to say, so I’m closing with with the new and revised blurb. Happy reading and pleasant dreams, friends

The world is at the mercy of the necromancer Aurelius. In two centuries’ time, he has risen, leaving untold destruction in his wake. With mysterious origins, his unfathomable motives have left remarkably little left of Terra to save. His only surviving adversary is Temple, an organization determined to bring his reign to an end.
Enter Phaedra, Demeter, and Eldren, friends who survived the destruction of their city as children and took shelter at the seat of Temple: Sanctuary City. Growing up together, Phaedra and Eldren found their places within Sanctuary’s walls. Fate, however, had other plans for Phaedra’s sister Demeter. As a child, Demeter was declared the Chosen One to save humanity, with Phaedra left to her own devices.
But now Aurelius knows of Demeter’s destiny and has set his sights on corrupting both her and Phaedra. Now the sisters must navigate through abduction, forced servitude, and a new sense of self as their world faces new levels of increasing danger. Meanwhile Eldren, now on the other side of the battlefield, is trying to reach the sisters in a bid to save them as well as the world. Will the greater good overcome? Or will they bow to Aurelius’ demands?
