Developmental Editing

I’ll read your story and offer feedback on how your worldbuilding is as well as targeted advice to help make your writing as punchy and effective as possible.

Rate: $45 an hour

Line Editing

I’ll go through your book and offer feedback on your sentences and paragraphs, and help you tighten up your narrative to make it as compelling to read as possible. This is not a copyedit or a proofread, this is for narrative devices, crutch words, weak verbs, and more dynamic and effective sentences.

Rate: $45 an hour

Copy Editing

I’ll go over your manuscript and clean up the grammar and spelling. I use The Chicago Manual of Style for this.

Rate: $35 an hour

Proofread

I’ll go over your manuscript and make sure it’s ready to go to print.

Rate: $35 an hour

Sensitivity Editing

I’ll go over your manuscript and check to make sure there are no glaring problems for certain demographics. I can’t do it for every demographic but if you deal with anything Filipino/Filipino diaspora, LGBTQIA+ (minus two spirit simply because I am not Native and therefore cannot speak to Native anything), disability, and mental illness.

Rate: $35 per hour

Editing Packages

Looking for multiple services? Maybe you want both a developmental edit as well as a sensitivity edit, or line and copy editing. I’m happy to do this for you. My rates are $55 an hour if you need me to go over more than one aspect of your manuscript. It will take longer as well, but I’m happy to bundle the various types of editing I offer up for you.
