I am pleased to announce that I am helping 2 Rules of Writing organize an anthology, The Beauticians Guide to the Resistance! I am so excited to be able to present this finally to you fine folks. What if the male gaze weaponized implants and other body mods for women and AFAB people? How would it affect women and AFAB people to be subjected to such cruelty, to be unable to make decisions about their own bodies? How could you even combat that? Those are all questions that this anthology is looking to answer. We’re looking for all manner of science fiction, contemporary and beyond; we’re looking for dystopian, cyberpunk, and urban fantasy, anything that fits, and challenge you to answer these questions as well. How would we resist in a society that reduces women down to the parts their husbands demand be changed? And what is with all these mushrooms?
