I am excited to announce, again, that I am back on track for Asides and Champion of the Dead, with new release dates! Asides will be available if you sign up for my mailing list, completely free of charge, starting June 30th. Champion of the Dead will be available from most online retailers starting July 31st.
It is so exciting to finally get to bring these two books to you. Asides is a short collection of short stories, some prequel and some AU content of my very own. Champion of the Dead is the sequel to Savior of the Damned, taking place less than a day after the first book ends.
These two books have been an absolute labor of love, and wouldn’t be here without some fantastic people to help me out along the way. It’s so amazing that I get to release them both when I do. I’ve been wanting to share these stories for so long that it’s thrilling I can finally do them justice.
My next project, however, is going to be completely different. In less than two years I’ll have released three books in The Guardians of Gaia, and I need a break so I don’t burn out. Which is why I’ve been working on the rewrite for Neophyte of Decimus while Champion and Asides were in others’ hands. I’m now 2/3rds of the way done with the first draft and let me tell you, I’m glad I decided to rewrite it. It’s so much better this time around. More tension, more characterization, better crafted story arcs, it was the right decision to make. Some of you might even remember the art I had been commissioning for it, which I’d eventually like to finish (as well as do for The Guardians of Gaia.) But Neophyte is a completely different book from Savior and Champion in a lot of ways.
I don’t want to derail things too much so I will leave the Neophyte stuff for later. Just know that I am just as excited as you are that you’re getting not one, but two installments in The Guardians of Gaia. Remember, Asides will be free for signing up to my mailing list, and Champion of the Dead is available for preorder from most digital storefronts. If you can’t find it, check back in a few days. A few storefronts haven’t been approved yet.
