I am excited to announce I released a collection of short stories on the web novel site royal road! They’re a bunch of the stories I’ve posted to Patreon, cleaned up and ready to read for free. It’s been out for a little bit because I wasn’t expecting to be quite as ready as I was. I’m also compiling a brand-new story collection that I’m going to release once I get a mailing list set up. If you subscribe to it, you’ll get the book for free. It’s another short story collection, but all the stories are new and fresh and oh so amazing.
Novel-wise, things are at a standstill while I regroup to tackle the next stage in things. But short stories are easy so that’s what you’re getting right now.
The holiday season is hard for me, so my productivity tends to nosedive around this time. I’ve taken to scheduling November-early January off so I can relax and do what I need to do without worrying about word counts. But with the new year comes new plans, new ideas, and new strategies to get things going and out there, and I’m excited to finally have something to share with you.
Sadly, I am one person, and I can only work so fast. As a result, the ideas are piling up faster than I can write them, but that’s a good problem to have. I’ve spent the last few weeks planning my next move, and it’s going to be the mailing list with the new short story collection. The stories aren’t ready quite yet, but once they are I’ll release more information on them. Hopefully, I’ll have a better idea of a time frame for the release as I keep working and clearing hurdles.
Not much else to say, but this is less a standard blog post and more of an announcement. I hope you have a gentle 2022. Stay safe and drink some water. You’re a houseplant with complicated emotions, after all, you have to take care of yourself too.
